Congratulations to Belize on its 42th Anniversary of Independence 

Belize became a British colony in 1840, known as British Honduras, and a Crown Colony in 1862. Under a new constitution, Britain granted British Honduras self-government in 1964. On June 1st  in 1973, British Honduras was officially renamed Belize. Independence was achieved from the United Kingdom on September 21th, 1981.
